About

Moving from circles to lines: one clear step forward at a time.

I’m Aeshala Vamshi Krishna, and I write here as Vamshi. I studied Civil Engineering at IIT Bombay and now serve in the Indian Corporate Law Service (UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2016 batch), where I trained at the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs.

I came to writing because I wanted to think more clearly, and to share what I find useful with anyone who is trying to do the same. This blog is where I work out how to live well: with energy, discipline and attention, and with a clear understanding of life as taught in Madhyastha Darshan.

Why “Circles & Lines”

A circle is doing the same things again and again, over and over, and never moving forward. The same habits, the same worries, the same mistakes, and we end up exactly where we started. I know this cycle well. I have lived it with distraction, procrastination and the frustration that follows.

A line is moving forward. Each day a little clearer, a little more disciplined, a little better than yesterday. Not a sudden leap, but steady progress in one direction.

Most of us run in circles at some point, as individuals, in families, in institutions and in society. This blog is about noticing the circle, understanding why we keep going round, and finding the way to step onto a line. That is why I look for solutions, and not only for explanations.

What you’ll find here

  • Madhyastha Darshan, applied. What the philosophy says, and how it plays out in daily life, work and society. Start with the introduction.
  • Essays on living well: energy, discipline, attention and Vipassana. They were first published on my earlier blog and are carried over here with their pictures and videos. See all the writing.

A note on views

Everything here is personal reflection, written in a private capacity. It does not represent the views of any organisation or office I am associated with.
